The manufacturing of PROVENGE® (sipuleucel-T) is conducted at facilities in Seattle, Washington and Morris Plains, New Jersey. Currently, 25 percent of the New Jersey facility is complete. The remaining 75 percent is under construction and expected to be complete in the first half of 2011. In addition, Dendreon is building out manufacturing facilities in Atlanta, Georgia and Orange County, California.
In order to complete our facilities as soon as possible, we are employing modular constructions of our clean rooms–a key component to our manufacturing process.
Dendreon has a specialized manufacturing platform to produce active cellular immunotherapies (ACIs) which are designed to stimulate a patient's own immune system against cancer.
